Actually sunlight is the worst. Normal window glass does
not remove the UV so your nice cel is getting dosed. It is the
cumulative dose that kills your cel. A minute of direct sun
is far worse than fluorescent light but if you leave the cel
out on your desk it will fade. I wouldn't worry about viewing your
cels especially in their plastic since polyethylene and most plastics
cut UV pretty well (on the time scale of viewing!). If you take them
out to really enjoy them wear gloves to lessen finger oils and you
should have them backed on acid free paper behind Uv glass.
Pretty expensive unless you have deedlit! I have a nice UV glass
frame and archival mount in my office that I switch cels into and out
of depending on how lousy my week is going!
