Well there is no doubt that a digital camera will do no harm to your cel,
but it will also be much lower resolution.
The laser on a scanner is quite powerful and I think that if you were
constantly scanning your cels that there could be
some fading. Since scanning is a rare event I would think it is pretty safe.
