I hate E-bay (Rant) (Mon Aug 9 18:13:31 1999
) Zoisite zoisite@cs.mcgill.ca |
I just felt this need to rant all of a sudden. I really hate E-bay and I'm even more annoyed today because I saw something I like there. I _know_ that now I'll lose my next week obsessing about how the bidding is going and planning how to snatch the item at the lowest price (which will, of course, be more than I would usually be willing to pay). And after all that scheming, all that planning, I'll be sitting on my sofa playing "Star Ocean" so engrossed in trying to get my characters to harmonize and make their own little orchestra (a.k.a. pointless loss of time) that I'll have forgotten all about the closing time of the auction. Then I'll mentally kick myself. *sigh* Happens every time. Now that I think about it, I hate auctions in general. (Rant focus changing...) Now here is a system I like. Last time Anime-Taro got Deed cels, I missed them completely (only learnt about them from this list) and since I didn't see them, I didn't mind all that much. I wish more stores that sell cels used the same cart system. You see it, it's yours, you don't, it's gone. Saves a lot of frustration, stress and hair-pulling. :) Then it's just pure luck. But at least you don't end up obsessing about something you lost in an auction while you should be concentrating on something more important. Like getting your 'Star Ocean" characters to learn the Super Skill "Come here Bunny". ;) Sorry for the rant, but I needed to vent. This E-bay item reminded me of an auction I forgot last week. |
