Hello, I just came back from Tokyo... While I was there I went to the AIC exhibit which was ending the 31th August. It was much smaller than what I expected : a single room where they were displaying the hanken cels currently on auction or on lottery. They were also displaying a couple of goods and books related to their anime but not much. (I was expecting to see more of their cels even if they weren't for sale). It was very, very warm and damp and full of people (not that many but enough to fill the room :) sitting there, doing nothing. Probably waiting the end of the auctions to place a final bid. As for the hanken themselve, there was some very very nice. When I was there, the Belldandy one was already at 450K yen and I heard that it ended-up at more than 800K yen -shiver-. Amazingly enough, there wasn't any bid yet on the Armitage one (for those who saw it on their website). Dunno at how much it ended. An Aeka was at 300K and probably ended-up higher... There was also 3 differant litho from Lodoss War, signed by Yutaka Izubuchi, for sale at around 45K. One was from Ashram and the other 2 from Deedlith. The 3 of them from the Anam artbook. (cover, p 14 and p 81). Cheers, Yann Stettler |
