Hello Firstly let me say that this is no comment whatsoever on CPM or their decision to sell cels on eBay. It is merely a discussion of the English Language. Here is the exerpt I cut from the auction in question: Lemnear is shown in a Hand-Painted copy of the gorgeous portrait that was used for the cover of the American release of Legend Of Lemnear #4. This piece is 100134650904nique. It is hand painted and imported from one of the actual animation studios in Korea that are used to create many well-known Animes. Now, here is one way to read that: Lemnear is shown in a //ADJ//Hand-Painted copy//NOUN//* of the gorgeous portrait //that was used for the cover//DESCRIBES THIS COPY// of the American release of Legend Of Lemnear #4. This piece is 1001nique**. It is hand painted and imported from one of the actual animation studios in Korea that are used to create many well-known Animes***. or, ...hand-painted copy ... that was used for the cover. It is an easy misinterpretation based on the lack of precision in the English language. Anyone, even if English is their only language, could misunderstand to which noun the phrase was referring. * If one says I have a /COPY/ of Nausicaa 3, the assumption is that one has the original printed version and not a xerox. ** Saying that the piece is 100873nique is, although technically correct, misleading because one might easily assume that because it is 100134725240nique, it is the original. These are the words a non-savvy collector might use to talk about henken. ***By referring to the studio which produced the cel (produced here in the technical sense, not the legal one) in this manner, there is again the implication that it is an original work rather than a very well copied imitation.
